Julien Clar
Julien Clar, 38 years old, is a young sculptor and painter on steel with an overflowing imagination and creativity.
He shapes steel to his heart's content, sculpts and paints. In his sculptures, he bases himself on the geometry of the ancient Greeks.
For his paintings, he draws on a double inspiration:

Boltanski, to evoke the portrait of his mining forefathers which tends to fade away under the corrosion, mark of the march of time;
-
Soulages, in a dialogue between the object and the fleeting light.
Today, he has settled in a former 250 m² chapel, built by 12 miners in the 1960s. His ambition is to explore the range of possibilities offered by his technical mastery of the material.
His strength? To pay particular attention to the emotions he wishes to transmit and the sensations he wishes to arouse.
